EVENTO
Mechanical Properties Identification of In-Vivo Arterial Tissues from Medical Images
Tipo de evento: Seminário de Avaliação - Série A
The characterization of mechanical properties in biological tissue is fundamental to understand the structure, state and mechanical response of these materials. The particular characterization of the arterial tissues is of paramount importance for culprit atherosclerotical plaque identification, stenting risk assessment, understanding of the atherosclerosis formation and evolution, stenosis characterization, among others. In this seminar will be presented the advances of the qualifying proposal for the mechanical properties estimation of arterial vessels including the image preprocessing of IVUS studies (gating, registration, restoration and optical flow) and preliminary results for the mechanical parameter estimation problem.
